We collect the following categories of information when you use FlipFinder:

Account Information

Email address — provided through your account login, used for account identification and optional notifications
Display name — your name as provided through authentication or set in your profile settings
Account identifier — a unique ID assigned to your account for internal record-keeping

Usage Data

Search queries — keywords and filters you enter when searching for products, stored to power your search history
Saved listings — products you save for later review, stored in your account
Alert preferences — deal score thresholds and notification settings you configure
Session data — pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to help us improve the platform

Payment Information

We do not store your credit card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, which maintains its own PCI-compliant data security standards. We only store a Stripe customer ID to link your account to your subscription.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To create and manage your FlipFinder account
To provide personalized search results and saved item history
To send deal alerts and notifications you have opted into
To process subscription payments and manage billing
To improve search relevance, profit estimation accuracy, and platform features
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, sell to data brokers, or share with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services We Use

FlipFinder integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its functionality. Each service has its own privacy policy:

Authentication

Manus OAuth — handles account login and identity verification. We receive your name and account ID from this service.

Payments

Stripe — processes all subscription billing. Stripe stores your payment method details under their PCI-compliant infrastructure. We never see or store your full card number.

Product Data APIs

eBay, Amazon, Walmart APIs — we query these services with your search terms to retrieve product listings. Your search queries may be transmitted to these APIs as part of normal operation.
RapidAPI — used as a gateway for certain marketplace data requests.

AI Analysis

OpenAI API — used to generate deal analysis and profit estimates. Product listing data (titles, prices) may be sent to OpenAI for analysis. No personal account information is included.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

Service providers — with the third-party services listed above, strictly to provide the FlipFinder service
Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority
Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).

Anonymized, aggregated usage data (e.g., total search counts, feature usage trends) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes. This data cannot be used to identify you.

Request deletion of your account and associated data

We protect your data using industry-standard security practices including encrypted HTTPS connections, signed and httpOnly session cookies, and access controls on our database. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security against all threats.

FlipFinder is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete that account promptly.
